Renshaw BakingRenshaw Baking, the British Bakels-owned brand, has today unveiled a raft of new products set to shake up the cake decorating category.

Known for its fondant icing and marzipan, Renshaw is adding Food Colourings, Metallic Paints, Sprinkles and Fruit Fillings to its range for the first time. It’s also bringing back the much-loved Chocolate Modelling Paste with a new and improved recipe.

The move marks the first major product launch for the brand since its acquisition by British Bakels in December 2023 and is designed to reinvigorate the cake decorating category.

Commenting on the NPD, James Cawthorne, managing director at British Bakels, said: “This is an exciting milestone for the Renshaw brand and is the beginning of an innovation pipeline that has been developed by listening to our customers and leveraging the global expertise of the Bakels Group.

“Renshaw is a brand that is clearly loved by all bakers and has an incredibly loyal following. These new ranges are designed to bring the brand’s expertise to all areas of the cake decorating process, providing products that not only perform but that taste great too.”

Colourful Creations

The new Colours range helps decorators bring every bake to life with eight vibrant water-based and eight bold oil-based food colouring shades. Available in handy 20g bottles or in multipacks of five, these products make it easy for both professionals and hobbyists to create show-stopping cakes.

The Metallic Paints range also features eight dazzling shades of food paint with a highly lustred and glittery finish, excellent for adding a premium touch to cakes and edible decorations. Available both as an individual 20g bottle or in a multipack of five.

Sweet Finishing Touches

Finally, Renshaw’s new Sprinkles come in four irresistible varieties, adding texture and fun, but the cherry on top of the innovation comes in the form of Fruit Fillings, a first to market in the UK.  Made with real fruit, these premium fruit fillings are perfect for drizzling over cakes, layering into sponge, and mixing into buttercream to create a delicious, authentic taste.  They are available in three flavours: Cherry, Strawberry and Blueberry.

The return of an icon

Long-term fans of the brand will also be pleased to hear that the business is bringing back its chocolate modelling paste in White Chocolate and Milk chocolate. Great for blending, moulding, and modelling intricate designs, the product has gained fans from across the world for its performance and taste.

With a brand-new recipe that’s made with real chocolate, the product not only tastes great, but it’s also now even easier to use!

The new ranges will be available to purchase for the first time at Cake International, taking place between 31st October and 2nd November at the NEC in Birmingham, with 10% of all event sales being donated to The Motor Neurone Disease Association.

After the event, products will be available to purchase globally via Amazon and in Renshaw Stockists across the UK and Europe in the coming weeks.
